Emondi Residents Celebrate Unity Through TNI's Social Communication Initiative

INTAN JAYA - A heartwarming interaction unfolded on Saturday, December 14, 2024, as the Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Raider 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, part of the HABEMA Operation Command in Papua, held a Social Communication (Komsos) activity in Emondi Village, Sugapa District, Central Papua Province. This initiative, carried out alongside their security mission, showcased the TNI's commitment to fostering harmony and addressing community needs in the operational area.

Lieutenant Colonel Inf Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, Commander of Satgas Yonif 509 Kostrad, underlined the importance of this dual role. "Beyond maintaining security, our presence must create a positive impact by addressing the basic needs of the communities around us, " he stated.

Mr. Simon, a respected community leader, expressed his appreciation for the soldiers’ efforts. "The presence of TNI soldiers in our village brings us peace and a sense of care. They are not only here to protect us but to truly understand our needs. We are deeply grateful, " he said with heartfelt emotion.
